Every now and then we find that we just need a break from the same old, same old. This show of pastel paintings by local artist, Roland Cosby may just be the thing. With this display of works, the artist will try to lift your spirit, entertain, and intrigue your art curiosity with his colorful pastels. The paintings will be on display for the months of  November and December, 2008 at the Gallery.

    Cosby’s best art education experience came from the late Dorothy Lepler of Brookline. Dorothy and Roland alike are committed artists, and together they made a pact to dedicate their lives to creating the finest art possible. As her protégé, Roland is now left with the challenge for art perfection and strict regimen. She warned him that in his quest to make fine art pastels, your art work will be costly to make and deemed expensive to the consumer.

    With this in mind, and the good blessings of the Curran Family Gallery, the artist will present a variety of pastel techniques and subject matter for the discerning viewer. Also the artwork will be specially priced for those who attend the show. At the last show, visitors requested works in a lower price range. Roland promises that no one will be turned down because of the cost of a painting. Any reasonable offer will be accepted. Some of the paintings can be seen on my web site.
